Car air conditioning service

Surrey AC Recharge Service | AC Recharge Surrey | AC Recharge service Surrey

There’s nothing cool about driving in hot, sweaty summer weather with a broken AC. From a leak to a worn out filter/condenser to loose wires and even excessive heat radiation from the engine — there are a number of reasons your AC isn’t working the way it should.

AC recharge in Surrey

Today’s modern systems use much less Freon than in years past and it is critical to keep the system properly charged. Your air conditioning system can lose up to 15% of its coolant every year, so a 3 year old car may have lost almost half its Freon, seriously impacting the performance of the system and damaging the components involved. You should regularly have the air conditioning systems serviced to reduce wear and tear on the components and help avoid potentially big repair bills.

Car air conditioning inspection and repair

Vehicle air conditioning repair can include a variety of tasks ranging from small to large-scale. Everything from an annual inspection or performance check to diagnosis and replacement of system components can be completed by a qualified technician. Regular inspections help ensure cooling efficiency and identify possible refrigerant leaks. Additional services your vehicle might need include:

  • Check your vehicle cabin air filter if applicable
  • System fan level check
  • System PSI pressure reading to verify Freon level
  • Output temperature check
  • Blower fan and compressor examination to ensure proper operation
  • Belts and hoses inspection to discover indications of aging and potential failure
  • Diagnosis of possible problems with faulty switches, fuses, wiring, the condenser, or internal compressor seal failure

Car AC evacuation and recharge service

While a car’s air conditioning system is sealed, leaks can still occur. When that happens you need an air conditioner recharge, which includes:

  • Recharging with additional refrigerant to bring pressure up to specifications
  • Introduction of fluorescent dye to visually reveal system leaks

Our AC service usually consists of evacuating the entire system and testing to see if the unit will hold a vacuum. If it does hold a vacuum, it tells us that that are no leaks, or at that any leaks would be very minor. These types of leaks can sometimes be very difficult to find. When recharging or refilling the system, we add the exact amount of Freon and oil the system calls for and add a dye to aid in finding any future leaks.

We have proper tools and experience to service air conditioning system. We start by safely evacuating your vehicle’s existing refrigerant. Then we are able to recharge the system with the exact amount of required new refrigerant, according to the vehicle’s manufacturer. This process can also help to detect if there are any leaks in the system.

Converting old R12 Refrigerant to Modern 134A

Some older vehicles use R12 refrigerant which is no longer produced. We can convert most cars that use R12 to use 134A which is now the standard for air conditioning systems.
